Thesis: Understanding the difference in Paleolithic era that produced the Venus de Willendorf culture with the era of today which produced the Barbie doll.

Today’s culture has made the Barbie doll image a must in all households of America. Looking thin with big breast and long blonde hair has shaped the women of this nation. It is the cause of women dying, been hospitalized, and resenting themselves for at least half a century. Little girls are taught to dress and look a certain way in order to not be tormented or ridiculed by their peers. It is even sadder to know that this conduct happens within the home as well. In this essay I will discuss Beauty as it was back in the Paleolithic era and which what we the “Barbie doll” era considers to be Beauty. Paleolithic is a term used to describe the very earliest human. Paleolithic means “Old Stone” and refers to the crudeness of these stone implements. It is also used by archeologists and anthropologists to refer to a whole set of traits that these very earliest people held in common (Dr. McKay, online-history.org).
