RE: Freeze Dryer: Urgent approval and funding of new unit
I am writing to request funding for a new freeze dryer to replace the broken one we currently use. Also we are asking Dr. Bart Wilson, Department head of Biophysics, to contribute 20% of the funding due to his teams repeated use of the dryer.
The freeze dryer has broken down several times within the last 2 weeks. This, along with previous issues with the device have brought us here to ask for your support.
PROBLEMS
* Broken gauge
* Leaking hose
* Weak vacuum
* Loss of production from constant downtime due to waiting on the dryer
This piece of equipment is an essential instrument in the Biochemistry department, and its constant breakdowns and repair time are costing us lost of time and money. Our department, along with Biophysics, regularly use the vacuum and frequently have to deal with setbacks.
SOLUTION:
We are suggesting a purchase of a new model from Freeze-it Enterprises, an industry cost leader. Here are the numbers associated with the new dryer along, with the price cut I managed to get from the representative.
