In the Apology Socrates was being charge with corrupting the young and did not believe in God of the city. Socrates says that Meletus doesn't really care about the things he is accusing Socrates of. Socrates then makes the statement of how can one person corrupt yet many others approve Socrates then makes ask Meletus “is it better for men to live among good not evil and that they will rather be helped been harmed?” Meletus agreed.
