I believe family structure has a huge impact how a child will develop and what kind of adult that they will become. It is known that the two parent family is still the most common living arrangement in the United States. I believe that parenting styles in a two parent home is more stable as the parents are usually united. Parents usually has a common goals for how their children and how they are to be raised and what beliefs that they will instill in the child. I believe by do this they can help create a happy successful adult so they will be able to pass it down to their own children if they choose to do so.Divorce is a hard at any age and is traumatic. There are so many hard times and how a child will deal with the divorce. A lot of times the children believe that it is their fault for the parents’ divorce will develop mental health problems as adults. Some teenage children may even try to commit suicide, grades will suffer and may engage with criminal activities. Also I feel bad when the parents expect emotional support from the child. I do not believe it is necessary for parents to also have the child be the “go between”. The divorce is hard enough on the child. I believe regardless of what the situation the parents need to try to stand put a side there differences and put their child best interest at the front. |
