Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir

Which means Bangladesh Islamic Students Camp is a political students organization in Bangladesh. Islami Chhatra Shibir, serves as the youth wing of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.It is a member of the International Islamic Federation of Student Organizations and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth.

History

Chhatra Shibir was established in February 6, 1977, in Dhaka University central mosque. According to their principle they have a mission, "To satisfy Allah through the rearrangement of the total life of human being in the way given by Allah and shown by the Muhammad".It was known as Pakistan Islami Chattra Shangha.before the Liberation war of Bangladesh.

* The death toll in violence across Bangladesh triggered by the executio of a top chhatra shibir leader on Saturday rose to 10, even as Islamists set afire the house of a federal minister in the country’s northwest

* A wave of violent attacks against Bangladesh’s minority Hindu community shows the urgent need for authorities to provide them with better protection, Amnesty International said.

* Over the past week, individuals taking part in strikes, called for by Islamic parties, have vandalised more than 40 Hindu temples across Bangladesh.

* Scores of shops and houses belonging to the Hindu community have also been burned down, leaving hundreds of people homeless.
