Computer Information System Brief.

As an existing client, Kudler Fine Foods is interested in effectively integrating technology into its business operations. As such, it is imperative to determine how computer systems might be more effectively integrated to meet the company’s business needs and improve their accounting operations. Along with identifying Kudler’s key business and accounting information needs, the company would benefit from a SWOT analysis by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of their current computer system and technology use (including hardware and software), evaluate opportunities that the company has along with providing suggestions for improving Kudler’s ability to maximize their operations, and evaluate threats that the company might encounter given their current systems along with suggestions for improvement in terms of using their technology.

Identifying Key Business and Accounting Needs

In evaluating the Intranet for Kudler Fine Foods, one can see that Kudler Fine Foods has grown vastly since opening their first store in 1998. With this growth, the need for updated computer systems and accounting information systems has grown as well. Although the company has a stable computer network, the need for updated computer hardware is apparent. Along with this, updating the accounting systems along with the databases will help to ensure that the company will be able to process financial and accounting information smoothly and accurately, thus minimizing loss to the company while providing the absolute best customer service to the company’s growing customer base.
