Great Expectation Summary

Pip is a young boy who lives with her sister and the husband of his sister. He sits in a cemetery looking in the grave of his parents. Afterwards, a strange man comes behind the tombstone who grabs Pip and command Pip to bring him food. Pip obeys the command of the strange man but the strange man was captured but in some way he was protected by Pip.

One day Pip is brought by his Uncle Pumblechoock to have fun at Satis House, the house of Miss Havisham, the old woman who wore an old wedding dress. During his visit he meets a beautiful girl named Estella, the girl he wanted most, but after months of visit Miss Havisham decided Pip to be a common laborer at their business. Because of Miss Havisham Pip becomes the apprenticed of his brother-in-law named Joe. Pip works not abluent much.

One night the sister of Pip was attacked by someone. They didn’t know who attacked her but according to her signal she was attacked by Orlick.

One day Pip was visited by a lawyer who said that he has a secret benefactor that gives him large kind of fortune, and the reason why he was sent to London. In London, Pip saw Herbert and Wemmick. Pip studied well, he got his own tutor named Matthew, the father of Herbert. Herbert became a close friend of Pip and the one who thought him to be a great man. When Pip reached his legal age, he had the ability to have the money or the fortune which he used to help Herbert to find him a business, but both them became undisciplined because their debts ran so fast.

Orlick appeared at Pip’s life again .Orlick became porter of Miss Havisham, but he was fired because of what Pip said about Orlick. The sister of Pip died. That’s why he went home for the funeral of his sister.

After several years, he saw Magwitch and he discovered that Magwitch was the benefactor of Pip, and not Miss Havisham. Pip helped Magwitch to escape London. They discovered that Compeyson was the man who abandoned Miss Havisham and Pip also discovered that Magwitch is Estella’s...
