Culture diversity is seen throughout the world more today than 20 30 years ago. Many wars in the Middle East and eastern bloc countries have help spread cultures throughout the world. One of the main things about culture is even though we are very different there are still many similarities such as expected behavior (norms) which we all follow. Personal space varies in different cultures, here in America we have a personal bubble that is about 4 feet but adjust to situations. Friends are treated alike from here to Japan, treat them with respect, make eye contact as you talk with them don’t divulge confidential information. In Japan they do not make eye contact as they walk unlike Americans we make eye contact or smile as far as 12 feet. Taboos are the same; incest is bad, don’t do it.

Woman and men do think alike on most things but men over do it. Men think of sex more and seek more than one sexual partner; they tend to want power and dominance. Women want commitment and for the most part do not agree with more than one sex partner, they also value good working hours and personal relationships. Men are over all more aggressive than women but when you just compare them on less assaultive forms of aggression woman show just the same amount as men. This is the same throughout most cultures.

I would like to know more about how the environment influences or activates our genes like; the environment stimulates and activates our genes like visual experience help develop the brains vision area. I wonder if I do not experience much visual stimuli will my vision center of my brain start to fail me.
