Bananas!

1. This documentary was about the workers that worked for Dole Corporation in Nicaragua who were effected by using the pesticide, DBCP (Dibromochloropropane). Even the pesticide was banned for using in planation in USA, Dole Corporation continues to use the pesticide to increase production of bananas and the profits of the company. In results, the employees got side effects such as cancer, sterility and other major health problems. Juan Dominguez, a million-dollar personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles, who is taking this case to defend the Dole Corporation and bring justice for over 10,000 Nicaragua banana workers who were effected by the pesticide.

Dole Corporation did not act morally since they knew using pesticide on planation will cause bad effects on human health, and they also knew the pesticide was banned in Untied States due to these bad effects. However, they still allowed people to use it for planation in Nicaragua just for earns more profits for the company.

5. -Companies should educate and train their employees about safety, hazards, and chemicals used on the job.

-Companies should provide safe working equipment and environment for the workers.

-Dole Should not builds working camps near the planation

-The Nicaraguan government should limit the use of pesticide.
