RR #1 I found this story sort of boring and repetitive. I like reading stories with meaning and I felt like this didn’t have much of one. I like how much description there is in the story as well as the way they do not have a care in the world as to what their outer appearance was. I figured this story takes place a long time ago with their reaction to what they are wearing, and considering they had pin curlers in their hair and were referred to as “house-slaves”. Class notes: The sheep were the customers walking throughout the store, pushing carts around, also to referred as house-slaves. Class Notes: Maybe the red in the wheel barrow stands for, evil...bad. The white chickens is a prime example of nature. The white might mean pure. - First Poem. Anticipation is greater than realization. - Second Poem. The guy is mourning her death over her grave, but she is talking about how she is cold hearted because he clearly hurt her. - Third poem. RR #3 It seems as though as the storm passed so did all the messiness in the story. Calixta and her old flame both show moments of weakness’ but calixta I think realizes once her family gets back that is who she truly loves. I don’t understand why alcee told his wife...
