Technology has been an integral part of our everyday lives; it makes the things we do every day easier and more comfortable. Computers and smart phones already became a necessity for every individual. Nowadays, almost every house has computer and internet connection and every individual has a smart phone. In almost every aspect of our everyday life, there is an application that can help. Even transportation uses modern technology innovations for better performance such GPS (Global Positioning System), navigation applications, and infrared sensors for auto parking. With the breakthrough of smart phones, majority of our everyday tasks has its cellphone application counterpart. The latest smart phones are able to access valuable information that we often use to perform tasks that we need, like in traveling from one place to another, we need certain functions that are integrated in a smart phone such as pinpointing a certain location, using the device as a compass, and providing a map.

Commuters often have troubles in finding the right jeepney they will ride, especially if the person is new to the place. They don’t know how much the fare is so they will be reluctant about going to a certain place using a jeepney. Often times if the person is new to the place get fearful of trying to explore a place even with a map provided, because maps are merely a diagrammatic representation of a place, it doesn't provide much information for a commuter to feel assured that he can reach his/her desired destination accurately.

In Pampanga, the City of San Fernando has almost 16 000 jeepney that roams around the city. Administratively the Component City of City Of San Fernando is subdivided into 35 barangays. One forms the center of the city wheras the other 34 are in the outlying areas.
