Running a Meeting: Reflection

We started the meeting at 12 P.M. and it lasted for an hour. There were all the 4 members of the team. Yes, I did get to cover my whole agenda. We got the process of what should be done and how the recruitment plan should look like. Also how many jobs are need to be filled, which kind of people are suitable for the jobs, how we over go the process of recruiting and how can we recruit the people for the jobs.

The meeting extended by 15 minutes by the normal time. Yes, I did achieve the goals I wanted to achieve. There were:

* Have their 100% attention on the meeting

* Tell my strategies to other so we could discuss about it

* Everyone shares some thought about the meeting

* Member gives or comes up with plans for better recruitment plans

The other participants in the meeting were very supportive towards my goal. They always had their attention on the meeting, shared their ideas, etc. One person gave the specific jobs to each one of the members so that the jobs could be divided equally in the project. There wasn’t many challenges in the meeting but whenever we had a tough time to think about which step to go through, we took votes or decided that we could ask professors later on that week and come to conclusion. Yes, the meeting felt very natural and there ran very smooth. Many meetings, most of the members doesn’t get a chance to share their thoughts or their work but our meeting every person had the chance to share their thoughts and their work. Also, nobody had a pressure from anyone because since other meeting there is always a senior person who acts very strict and doesn’t give chances to speak. It was very different in this meeting. Surprisingly, there were not any quiet members of the group. Every single person had the opportunity to speak and they did at their point of time.
