Learning Team Reflection Week Six
During week six of the Human Capital Management course, Learning Team “D” members discussed the work they completed for their clients. The discussions included the principles and strategies that apply to each member’s business. Individual assignments cover recruitment and selection strategies recommendations for clients of Atwood and Allen Consulting. Christopher Mason, Jerry Brown, and Stephanie G. Flint are the Learning Team “D” members. Just as corporations strategize to develop, manufacture, and market the best product or service, so they must also vie to identify, attract, and hire the most qualified people. (Cascio, 2013). In their individual papers they will be covering necessary components of recruitment and selection. The key components (among many others) include identifying what positions are needing filled, what qualifications a candidate must possess, and strategies that are aligned with the organizational goals of the companies, and any legal parameters that the recruitment and selection process must operate within. An effective recruitment and selection process will generate the best group of candidates. The process also helps businesses find new employees and develop existing staff that will be good matches to the positions and with the company.
Christopher Mason: Clapton Commercial Construction
Christopher is continuing to work with the medium business of Clapton Commercial Construction. Email correspondence with Marylee Luther outlined the need for recruitment and selection strategies for the firm. Atwood and Allen have reviewed the best strategy and will outline the recommendations in a memorandum.
