What information did you learn this week that can help you with your Week Five Learning Team assignment?

Human skeleton consists of 206 bones, bones in our body help structure and support the body frame of the human body some bones also have a major job to help protect main organs such as; the lungs and heart are protected by the rib cage, the skull protects the brain.

Joints are what help with the movement of the actions of muscles and bones permit us the flexibility of the body the most common joint is the synovial. Reading this chapter has taught me how a break or injury can cause major injury to the tendons, muscles, and joints.

This are some points that I could use on a PowerPoint to be able to explain the skeletal system: Rheumatoid arthritis which is the thickening of the lining of the joint capsule and degeneration of the underlying bone and cause disfiguring of the bone. Fractures there are hairline cracks which heal quickly to where others involve much more damage that requires more time to heal, to repair some to be placed in a cast, pinned to help broken ends heal. Osteoporosis a common bon disease that is an aggressive loss of bone calcium to where it weak and loses strength and can easily be broken.

Understanding the Muscle contraction, the muscles in our body have an important job they help produce movement but not all the skeletal muscle make bones move some just help keep the joints steady they help maintain our posture helping us stand properly upright. This is the reason why we are able to have many different facial movements and expressions. The muscular system consist of facial, neck, throat, shoulders, thorax, arms, abdomen, pelvis, thigh, and legs.
