Demonstrative Communication

Communication is defined as the process of sending and receiving messages. We communicate for many different reasons, such as a causal conversation or an important email. The process starts with the sender who creates the message in a way that the person receiving the message can understand completely. This is important because the receiver has to be able to figure it out what the sender is trying to communicate. It will only be effective communication if the sender is talking in a clear voice, speaking fast enough that the receiver can follow along and not get lost. If typing an email the sender must use proper grammar, punctuation and writing the email as if they are the ones going to be receiving it. The email can be ineffective if the person receiving the message reads it incorrectly due to a mistake by using an incorrect date or time.

Demonstrative communication includes nonverbal and unwritten communication which also involves facial expressions, tone of voice, body language and more. These are just some of the traits required to know.

Using facial expressions is an important trait when presenting to another person or a group. An example of a facial expression, a simple smile would be used when describing something positive to someone so they are not only listening to your words but can feel the communication as you do. If you were to have a blank face, showing no emotion towards something the receiver could either not listen to you fully and miss what you are explaining, or misunderstand what it is you’re trying to say, thus having a negative impact.

Body language is the silent language that is a huge part of human interaction. When entering a room for an interview you would want to impress the receiver the interviewer by showing you have confidence.
