1888 PressRelease ­ Encole Sight Glasses enable those in the plant oil extraction industry to clearly see their  product and operate at high temperatures and under pressure. In the second half of 2014 Encole LLC has seen an increase in demand for it's high­pressure sight glasses  from the plant oil extraction industry. These particular sight glasses are chemically inert in the oil extraction process and can hold the high  pressure of the carbon­dioxide type extractors. Both, CO2­based systems and butane­based systems benefit  from the Encole sight glasses because of their regulatory compliance at high pressure operations. These sight  windows have been tested in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive for vessels exceeding 10­ litter volumes. The sight glass housings are made from AISI 316 Stainless Steel with GE­124 quartz windows  bonded to the housings with FDA­approved quartz­based fill. The sight windows fully pass the rigorous FDA  CFR 175.300 Food Grade Testing Requirement. The advantage of these Encole sight glasses is the excellent  optical clarity not available in fused type sight glasses, and also food grade compliance not available from  gasketed sight glasses with elastomer seals. Encole sight glasses allow non­distorted viewing of the process  behind the window, while retaining the high­pressure and high temperature performance and corrosion resistance. Particular interest in these sight  glasses has been seen from the hemp oil extractors possibly due to deregulation of the medical use of  marijuana. High pressure sight glasses have the following technical parameters: • Operating Pressure: up to 7,040 psi, internal pressure, 580 psi external pressure, • Operating Temperature: ­60 oC to +220oC • Available in NPT­threaded configuration, Sizes 1" to 2" in 1/2" increments. Custom sizes and flanged  configurations are available by custom order.
