Marijuana

“Users are loser,” “just say no to drugs.” “Getting high is for fools,” are amongst the many slogans that are broadcasted in our society through media. Marijuana has picked up a bad reputation over the years making some people believe that this drug is harmful. The drug has been associated with very harmful if not deadly drugs such as cigarettes and liquor. However, how can a drug that is being labeled dangerous be used in hospitals to better people? Marijuana is if not the healthiest drug to take. It has shown to be very beneficiary because it’s just a plant! It is complete harmless and provides more pros than cons. Marijuana should be legalized because it can help make money for the government create jobs, is relatively harmless compared to other drugs that are legal and crime and crime prevention.

To begin, unemployment is raising and the middle class is striking. The U.S economy is collapsing and the American people are losing hope. The government needs to help create more jobs for people so that the American people can start spending again and we can start reducing our national debt. What a better way to do just that, by legalizing marijuana. “According to Washington state office financial management the amount of money that can be generated for marijuana loan being legalized is nearly $2 billion in revenue” (Drug Policy Alliance). amount of money would be only in one state alone. Imaging if one were to multiply that number by 50? The U.S would be able to be debt free sooner than anticipated and would help bring our economy back to a surplus. For example, one job that would come out of this would be farming. If people start to grow legally that means jobs will be given to farmers which will be another source of income especially during the winter time when its becomes a task to try to grow fruits and vegetables and livestock.
