CASE ANALYSIS
I. Point of View
The management and the board of Directors have the capacity to solve the problem because they have the power to declare the hotel’s price, advertisements and could make necessary adjustments to help solve the concerns of the hotel.
II. Time Context
We managed to get an interview with the Hotel’s HR Director Dr. Au Caday at December 16, 2014 between 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the school as we managed to convince her to accept our interview with her at the school premises as it is forbidden to interview in the hotel as it is one of the company’s policy.
III. Statement of the Problem
The main problem of the hotel is its location and the pricing as the.
IV. Statement of Objectives
1. To determine the problem of the Manila hotel.
2. To determine the solution and the person or the persons who can solve it.
3. To suggest necessary recommendations that will help solve the problem.
V. Areas of Consideration
1) Strengths
a) The rooms are clean and spacious, beds are soft. The hotel staff are courteous. Breakfast was in Cafe Ilang Ilang, has wide selections.
b) It is good leisure hotel strategically located near Luneta Park, Ocean Adventure, museums etc in Manila.
c) The hotel was at capacity due to its proximity to Rizal Park/Quirino Grandstand.
