A very good afternoon to all my fellow friends and our English tutor Dr.Marzita, today we will be doing our group discussion which is about the causes and effects bring by war, as a conclusion of this topic we will also give out ways to prevent war happening.

Jia Jing:

In my opinion, why would wars happen? World War 2 happens because of different understanding of nation value between nations. Germany began World War 2 by invading Poland in September 1, 1939. Causes of war is all about argument. When one of the nation does not feel alike or does not agree on others nation value or not well-being characteristics, they will likely start a lively debate and mostly ended up starting a war.

Chen Fung:

Well, I agree on you Jia jing this is a factor too . But for me ,how can a war not happen while some of the politicians are playing their dirty roles , doing underground activities such as bribery. Political and institutional factors: weak state institutions, elite power struggles and political exclusion, breakdown in social contract and corruption, identity politics all these political factors are heavy enough to conduct wars within or out our country, and all this are because of some politicians. Well no offend to you Max you are excluded.

Max:

Well, I don’t mind about that instead I agree with you .Wars may cause consequences to us as well. Economics in the world will be imbalance and economic crisis will happen too. Great depression is one of the best examples. The Great depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade preceding World War I. Based on the economist studies, the great depression showed a deflation in asset and commodity prices, dramatic drops in demand and credit, and disruption of trade, ultimately resulting in widespread unemployment. Thus, if wars continue to happen, there will be a tremendous economic growth decline.
