I personally believe that although many people refuse to invest in industries that produce products such as firearms, tobacco, alcohol, gambling, and porn, I don’t believe that there should be some products that should not be allowed to be made/sold. I believe this way because not all people are the same. Most people but not all know how to use these types of products with responsibility. Yes I know we have seen that firearms can lead to mass shootings, tobacco can cause cancer, alcohol can lead to domestic abuse and/or DUI crashes, and gambling could ruin lives but there are demands for these products and as I said before, most people know how to use these products with responsibility. But I believe that there should just be stricter laws to prohibit these products to get into the hands of the people who do not know how to use these products with responsibility and there should be harsher consequences for the people who misuse these products.

A sin stock as defined in the following website, “http://www.iisd.org/didigest/glossary.htm” means holdings in companies engaged in irresponsible business practices or the production of harmful products. Knowing that, I personally wouldn’t have any qualm in investing in a “sin stock”. I believe that I am responsible enough to use these “sin stock” products in a proper way. Although yes these products do harm to other people, I don’t feel/have the thinking that buying these products means that I support all the wrong doings it does, I just do know how to use these types of products with great responsibility. The key word when talking about “sin stock products” is responsibility.

I wouldn’t be able to work for a company if I don’t “believe in” its product. Just having the quick thought that working for something I believe that isn’t right wouldn’t help me love my job.
