Beta cells make and release insulin and Alpha cells secrete glucagon. Glucagon is a hormone that breaks down glycogen (stored in the liver) into glucose.

What are acinar cells?

It synthesizes, stores, and secretes digestive enzymes.

How do insulin and glucagon affect blood glucose level?

Insulin brings your blood sugar down when it is high enough to take an insulin shot. Glucagon brings your blood sugar up when it gets so low that you begin having seizures and effects like that.
