Title: Observations of Chemical and Physical Changes

Purpose: the purpose of this lab experiment is that I will be able to decipher the difference between a chemical and physical change. I will be about to tell whether a chemical change has occurred during the experiment or if it was a physical change and I will be able to answer why it is either one.

Procedure: In the lab experiment, I mixed different types of chemicals with different background to see if there was a chemical change, and also to see what type and why that change occurred.

QUESTIONS

Suppose a household product label says it contains sodium hydrogen carbonate (sodium

bicarbonate). Using your results from Data Table 1 as a guide, how would you test this material

For the presence of sodium bicarbonate? Add hydrochloric acid and wait for the reaction.

B. . Write the chemical equation for the reaction in well A6. AgOH(s) + NaNO3(aq)

C. One of the reactions you observed resulted in this...
