Giving Your All

Hello my name is . I’d like to speak to you guys about an important piece within my attitude that drives me towards my goals. This particular piece of my attitude is, “ Believing that everyone should give 110% no matter what”.

Its kind of funny, but I like to refer to the phrase, “ Go Hard or Go Home”. I’m not sure exactly where that phrase came from, but I pretty much live and die by it.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking, “ Who really gives a 110% all of the time”. Personally I truly believe that everybody wants or has intentions of putting their best foot forward no matter what the circumstances including all of you here. This particular characteristic of my attitude might have been instilled when I was younger. I’ve always wanted to be the best competing with my younger brothers. It could be as little as racing them to the dinner table or small wagers on who could climb the highest tree, kind of funny I know. These small clips have actually led up to me having this constant nagging voice in my head to just go for it all. Of course there have been many instances where I have felt fear, intimidation or nervousness. However at the end of the day something inside of me with a little Super woman voice whispers in a gritting teeth tone, “ you better give your all or nothing at all little lady”. Honestly the voice kind of sounds likes my 85-year-old grandmother.

Advancing forward to my position currently as a Supervisor. My giving 110 percent attitude tends to leak out when I’m at work. I find myself looking for ways to pull that same attitude out of my counterparts unconsciously; ok well maybe sometimes it’s consciously. Maybe this attitude of mine is debatable but hey at the end of the day knowing I gave a 110 percent counts for something in my book. Thank you for listening and have a good day.
