n this little planet we call home, at one point there was nothing but the beauty of nature. Now though if we look closely we can see what the pride and ignorance of man has brought. Were once great forest full of life once stood, logging camps stand consuming the landscape without replacing the once wonderful trees that stood tall. Rivers and streams are polluted by litter that could have been recycled and disposed of properly. The very Air that we breath is filled with chemicals that harm the environment and ourselves. All of this is for our so called "Progress", the betterment of the human race. How is this so? We are blinded by the lies companies tell us, the commercials and flashing lights have gotten most people on autopilot, forced into a false sense of security were we believe what we are told and not we see. The world is changing thanks to our race. We can never kill the world but we can make it impossible for us humans to live here anymore. Life finds a way it is just that the human equation in this mess will be removed for we lack the simple ability of self control and the wisdom to see that the world will find a way without us. The solutions to the problems we make are so simple, if only we as a race stand for change and try to help fix what we once destroyed. It is always darkest before the dawn. All we need to do is look forward, not for ourselves, but for the future of our race.
