During the Reagan and Bush years there were many changes in America. Pick two fromt he list and discuss how America would be different if these events, or people had not occured or exsisted, or had events happened differently.

There were many people that changed America. One person was John Hinckley. "John Hinckley Jr. recieved national notoriety in 1981 when he attempted to assassinate President Reagan." ("The Biography, 2015"). "Hinckley did not want Reagan to become president because of Reagan opposing to tax breaks for the oil industry," says Smith. (Smith, 2003). If Hinckley had not tried to assassinate Reagan in 1981, Bush might not have been president as soon as he did. Hinckley's acts forever impacted the lives of his innocent victims and their families.

Another person that changed America during Reagan and Bush years was Anita Hill. Anita Hill is an african american attorney. Anita Hill was a law professor who had accused Clarence Thomas of sexually harrassing her. Anita Hill's testimony about Thomas changed peoples lifes in many ways. " Due to Hill's testimony, the Congress strengthed the Cival Rights Act, enabling those who charged sex discrimination to seek jury trials and cash damages." (Graves & Groff, 2014). "Anita Hill alerted Americans about a new workplace offese called sexual harrassment." (Graves & Groff, 2014). "Hill's unsought moment of celebrity has helped working women press foward toward equal footing with men in the workplace." ( Graves & Groff, 2014).

In conclusion, there were millions of people during the Reagan and Bush years that impacted so many lives. However Anita Hill and John Hinckley stood out the most and shaped our America into how it is today. There life changes impacted the lives of everybody greatly.
