It’s a crucial part because the gap for a user to stay or to leave of the website is really close. One mistake on the usability and the user quits immediately.

Usability heuristics gather 5 important aspects:

→ Learnability, how easy is to use the website for the first time? The presentation is really messy, too many products on the front page but the search bar is easily visible and the categories are clear. To know whether people found easy to use the site, I looked at the bounce rate (percentage of persons that came on the website and quit immediately), it’s 28.80%. It’s a really good result.

→ Efficiency: How fast can you find what you wanted? 2 possibilities: First one, you know what you want. The search bar is really helpful, when you write down a product you have a precise list of the related products it’s really easy. In 10 seconds you’ve found what you were looking for. Second, you have a vague idea, the categories and sub-categories are as accurate as possible and after 3 clicks you’ve found something corresponding to your idea.

→ Memorability: This is the biggest weakness of this site. I’ve created an account, I looked at three different types of products: a bed, a computer and an iPhone I put them in my shopping basket, then I quit and came back immediately. Nothing has changed, the front page was still the same, and the website doesn’t take into account my previous researches in order to make a preference list. No use of the cookies.
