9/2/15

This week, we discussed about ethics and business ethics. I learned that ethics is the right and proper way to act in one’s professional life. It is also the activity of examining one’s moral standards of society, and asking how these standards apply to our lives whether they are reasonable or not. We also talked about business ethics and how it is the nominative study of moral standards. These topics were definitely informative and it helped me understand a lot about ethics.

This week, we continued to discuss about business ethics. We talked about the comparison of ethical systems and the key influences on ethical behavior. I learned that the rules of conduct could vary from system to system. My professor discussed the topic very clearly so it was easy for me to understand the lesson. I like the examples she gives out in class because it is easy for me to understand and see how it relates with our topic. Through the examples that she gives, I also learn a bit about current events especially in the business industry.

For this week, we discussed about our case 0. This is the first case that we’re doing as a group. It’s good to know that everyone in my group does their part in a certain activity. My group may have the least members in it but at least we still show good results. This week we also discussed about the ethical dilemmas. As usual, I learned a lot of new things from my professor. From our case 0 analysis, I realized that we may encounter some ethical issues with whatever they are doing. And how we resolve or decide to deal with these situations can lead to different sorts of consequences that can either benefit or burden us.
