2. What kind of economy does U.S. have?

Economy system in United States is capitalism. But it seems it is becoming more mixed because more and more government role involved in these days, especially after the 2008 economic crisis.

The government stimulates policy and the Fed’s quantitative easing policy made it more like a command economy. The government seems to provide more and more subsidies which in some way helping the poor or those in real needs but it also disturbed the really market economy. Government’s role in the economy will just like a pain-killer pill. It is very easy to be addicted to. It ruined the economy’s self-healing system. But without it, the poor people will surfer more. It is very hard to say that it is good or not because economy is not possible to adopt the “trial and error” method.
