As of the fourth quarter of 2014, Chinese mobile phone users totaled around 1.29 billion and combined user adoption of 3G and 4G reached nearly 47%. Sales volume of smartphones in China arrived at 104.2 million units in the same quarter. Xiaomi, Huawei and Lenovo managed to maintain their leading positions while Apple made a significant progress on the back of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. In contrast, Samsung, Coolpad, and ZTE all showed signs of decline.
