I agree that educators need to use rather then prohibit technologies in the classroom. There are many benefits of technology in classrooms. The need for computer skills in today’s workforce have pushed the U.S. government to create the Core Curriculum Content Standards for educators to help students prepared to meet the demands of the workforce today. The United States has the education policy of focusing on improving technology development with STEM. Technology use in STEM has implications for workforce development, national security, and immigration policy.

Technology use in schools enables the use of interactive educational tools that in turn allow for a dynamic learning experience the benefits students. When classroom technology is used for communication such as for, presentations, collaboration, and class interaction, students are required to be writers, readers, editors, and publishers and students must be willing to collaborate together, theses are the skills that are critical for students to learn and grow as they enter the workplace.

Overall there are 5 main benefits of incorporating technologies in the classroom, student performance, productivity, attendance rates, resources portability, and networking. Student productivity increases because students are can access information more quickly with internet technologies with our limiting students to just the school’s library. Studies have shown that there is greater enthusiasm from student resulting in higher attendance rates.
