Child Development is a very sensitive subject yet while we can all agree that children mimic what they hear, see, and are taught however we disagree based on diversity of race culture religion and education what is important and should be built upon in regards to the child’s progression. While age is a factor imposed by all who research and render an opinion on this topic, what follows varies differently. Some researchers believe that as the child ages the child’s motor speech and social skills along with their vision and hearing (developmental milestones) should be monitored to see if developments are “normal”. In particular the examination is to see if the child has a growing posture and balance for instance the ability for the subject to hold its own head erect. There are other critiques evaluated but not limited to such as ability to hold bottle, grab foods and digest “burp” on subject on recognizance. The above mentioned are all considered motor skills.

In addition to motor skills there is the development of speech. In this process the child initially starts off light babbles followed with harmonic like sounds of vowels. The more the child begins to enjoy their new found ability the more they begin spit and increase in play activity such as blowing bubbles. What comes next start an epic battle for love between parents the wait and debate as to whose name the child will speak first? In my own personal experience with my two children they said da-da first, I believe it’s because it requires less pronunciation. Before you know it you the child will be speaking a mile a minutes a cliché often used or the child moniker “motor mouth”.

Socials skills intertwine with vision and hearing skills because they all based on an ability to focus. The first point of focus for the child once their eyes adjust to light is the magnificent long awaited view of the parents who have nurtured them thus far....
