Mindset in Three Categories

Boodhi is a sense of understanding and the ability of grasping knowledge from Gurbani or a particular message. Boodhi is to differentiate and discriminate between good and bad. It is divided into three categories :

Namda Boodhi

Namda Boodhi explanation is given here with example used of a cotton. For instance, when we poke a needle in a cotton, no matter how deep you go, can you see a hole in the cotton? NO!!!

So in this case, many people can attend their Satguru’s Satsang, for many many years or meet their Satguru for many years but the Gyaan that their Satguru is putting in them does not make any difference to them. Like, in any case we may tell to our closed ones that “ you should come to Satsang, to where I go and experience the divineness I experience. But, how many of them actually listen to it by coming or trying to experience it as well eventhough they see how you present your experience to them.

Because of the strong mind conditioning, they do not want to adapt any positive changes or let themselves to accept the gyaan in them. So, that is why the example here the cotton is the individual and the needle is the Gyaan.

Chamraa Boodhi

Chamraa here means leather. For example, when you make a hole in the leather you would see the hole and it will remain like that forever. It doesn’t expand/ gets smaller. This can be applied to Satsangees who is receiving the Gyaan. Just like the hole is made in the leather, Maharaj Jee has planted such seeds through Gurbani in our soul. Through Saadh Sanggat, we get “ Gyaan Di Barsaat”. And with that, we are suppose to work towards self development and inner growth.

For example, in a classroom, a teacher is always teaching her students new chapters in a subject. Eventhough the student attends every class, but if she or he doesn’t revise or do their homework, the end result will be a “ Fail” for their examination. We cant blame the teacher here.

The same goes to our Parmarath Life....
