For one to make the best of something and get the best out of it is through knowing what it is and devising an effective treatment strategy. Thus, if one wants to make the most out of young children, it is imperative to find out more about them and treat them according to their character. Essentially, to maximize a child care program, one should determine how it ought to be, and tailor make it measure up to the standards. Overall, early child care is a practical field and to ensure that it is effective, it must be guided by special knowledge. An effective day care program is one that combines both safety and health as the key factors together with the educational and social development of the child being attended. This research seeks to show that effective day care program is one with effective structural planning; both physical and staffing needs and that the process elements that maximize good caregiver qualities involve their parents and good curricular practices.

An effective day care program is one with a curriculum aligned to fit the child’s needs. The early years of a child’s development are important to determine how they develop physically, socially, emotionally and their later cognitive capabilities. It utilizes both a spontaneous and planned approach to learning while utilizing a predictable routine. Essentially, there is time for everything, and the children get accustomed to routine and time management. There is time for outdoor games, story time where child gather around the teacher, eating and resting, as well as going to the toilet. In effect, such a curriculum responds to the needs of the child by considering their developmental needs, their age, their culture and other special needs.
