I am writing in response to the job posting for a Physical Therapist Assistant with a focus in pediatrics. Would you please consider me for the available PTA position? I am graduating in 2017 and I believe my education and leadership experience would make me a suitable candidate for the position you have available.

I am currently a student at the University of Alaska Anchorage in Anchorage, AK. My education at the University of Alaska Anchorage has provided me with a strong background in the field of physical therapy. I have completed 30 hours of observation in a private as well as 30 hours of observation in a pediatric hospital which has given me experience working specifically in pediatrics within physical therapy.

I have an eight year background in professional retail management which has provided me with valuable leadership and teamwork skills that I believe are also essential in a clinical setting for physical therapy. While working in the retail industry I have been responsible for tasking teams to achieve goals on a very specific time line. I have shown analytical skills by conducting research and implementing plans to accomplish tasks based on said research. I have shown strong motivational and team building skills by organizing a group of employees to achieve their highest level of success.
