who are you? a name? an identity? a master student in university of sydney? what has left apart from those titles?

personality makes us unique individuals. A brief definition would be that personality is made up of specific patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors . these psychological mechanisms contribute to a unique style and pattern that how an individual react in daily lives. there are two major features of personality : stability and distinctiveness. for example, an introverted college freshman is nearly impossible to become an extroverted person after he graduates. as for distinctiveness, take the violence attack happened in sydney and melborne this week, some of us were so worried and frightened while some seemed so indifferent. the uniqueness of personality drives us to react differently on the same thing.

there re some career-based theories such as mbti, which helps individual make career choices. it is composed of 4 dimensions leading to a-16 -type combination.

another one is BELBIN’S team roles theory. Belbin have identified nine different behaviour types that individuals display in the work place, we call these the nine Team Roles

Typically, most people have two or three Team Roles that they are most comfortable with and prefer; a few others that they can manage to cover if they need to; and finally the rest that they prefer not to adopt at all. each role has its advantages and disadvantages. for instance, the role of shapers has courage to face and over come obstacles. on the other hand, they can be aggressive and offend other’s feelings.
