General Information on Web Industry

The World Wide Web is a computer network consisting of a collection of internet sites that offer: text, graphics, sound, and animation resources through the hypertext transfer protocol and it has existed 20 years from now. Nowadays, this set of connections is used as a human knowledge supply that serves information wherever you are around the globe if you have any access to Internet. This amount of data, equivalent to Europe’s surface all covered by 2 meters of DVD, confers to search engines and data organization systems a key role in the development of new communication ways. In addition, WWW has become a culture for our generation. We believe there are no individuals in the globalized world that can think of their lives without this service. It has become a daily routine that is used for many functions such as searching information, advertising your business, communication, etc. These functions are endless and so is the information on the World Wide Web (About the World Wide Web).

Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin who met in Stanford University, where they were attending their graduate program. The name reflects the immense volume of information that exists, and the scope of Google’s mission: to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
