The ESG report guide has been created to add to the reporting necessities of other great practices guides like the ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations. This guide main objective is to improve ESG disclosure levels, uniformity and quality engagement amid Australian companies and their institutional investors. The ESG guide has divided the issues to report broadly into social, environmental and governance subjects to ease the illustration of what is significant for the company’s report.

Environmental management

Activities or operations that have an impact on the surrounding within the company’s direct operations, products or supply chain can have many inferences when it comes to shareholder value. Investors are also getting acquainted with the potential adverse effecta on the license of the company to operate of long-term ecological externalities that the company cause due to company operations that could, for example, lead to depletion of limited resources like fresh water and arable land and the dumping of future ecological waste (Loane & Davidson, 2015). Investors are not attracted to a business with important ecological impact and that exhibits a lack of commitment capacity or track record in the management of ecological consideration.
