0 INTRODUCTION

In the modern world, it is imperative that technology works both effectively and reliably. Computer and information systems managers play a vital role in the implementation of technology within their organizations. They do everything from helping to construct a business plan to overseeing network security to directing Internet operations.

Information System (IS) can be defined technically as the system of persons, data records and activities that process the data and information in a given organization, including manual processes or automated processes. Computer-based information systems are for Information Technology field of study. Study of information system was originated as a sub-discipline of computer science, in an attempt to understand and rationalized the management of technology within organizations [ANGE1991].

Transaction Processing System (TPS) is a type of information system that collects store, modify and retrieve the transactions of an organization. Enrollment system is an example of TPS. This system includes processes involving the registration, advising, assessment and payments and verifying records of every students studying in a particular school [CIBO2002].

Nowadays enrollment of students is one of the main problems of many schools in our country because of increasing numbers of student that are being enrolled in every schools such as Philippines State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA). The manual processing of records that are required in order for a student to enter a school makes the enrollment process slow and difficult because some of them are not using computers which can greatly help the transaction. Other schools are using spreadsheets systems in order to help them in their transaction, but the capabilities to manage the files are still unattainable.
