Introduction
Starbucks Coffee and Pacific Coffee are my target restaurants in this project. They both have a large scale and reputation in Hong Kong , providing high quality coffee and related service to us. Face to the high coffee demand in Hong Kong, Starbucks and Pacific Coffee become a high competitive company each other.
History & Background
Starbucks was established in Seattle in 1971. It is publicly traded company .Until 2000 , the first StarBucks in Hong Kong was opened in Central .In 2011 ,StarBucks Coffee in Hong Kong was operated by Maxim's Caterers Limited. Nowadays, there are almost 1,2000 stores in the world and include approximately 100 stores in Hong Kong
Pacific Coffee is established in Hong Kong by Thomas Neir who came from Seattle, providing the ‘Perfect Cup’ concept. The first store is in Central in 1992. Nowadays, there are 95 store throughout China, Singapore, Macau ,Malaysia and include 83 in Hong Kong.
Two coffee shops were both established from the culture of Seattle and both provide similar Amercian Fast Coffee but Pacific Coffee have a longer development in Hong Kong . However, StarBucks Coffee is a publicly traded company and have a larger scale than Pacific Coffee in Hong Kong and world.
Environment & Facilities
They both create a comfortable and soft environment to clients with music and flat light tend to provide a tasteful and non-stressful feeling to consumer.
Also, they provide magazines ,newspapers and WIFI that can make guests getting information conveniently.
However, Pacific Coffee do much better because most of their stores provide computers to surf internet and 20 minutes FREE-WIFI to the members of Pacific Coffee. On the technology development, Pacific...
