This case study is about job dissatisfaction and its high turnover rate. Many individuals were highly dissatisfied with how they were treated at the Treadway Tire Company. The system is definitely broken and there are many problems within the company. For example right off the back it is stated “We have a serious problem.” Ashley Wall, who is the director of human resources for one of the plants of the Treadway Tire Company, is dealing with a serious issues. There is currently a concern with the productivity and efficiency of the plant.

The tire plant at Lima is passing through a tough situation as margins and profits have abruptly decreased due to skyrocketing raw material cost and intense global competition. Although there is nothing much that can be done of increasing raw material costs, however the overall costs can be definitely reduced by reducing the employee turnover. As per the facts there are major morale issues in the line-foreman and hourly workers segment and this disease spreading in the entire plant. This company needs their leader to take control and reestablish this to be a sufficient and prominent program. At this time the company is not a highly regarded plant due to these concerns. An overhaul needs to be completed, including proper training, proper leadership skills from the top to the bottom and total control of the company by Ms. Wall.

The line foreman for this company lack the proper training needed to excel and they have a horrible relationship with their onsite supervisor.
