Route - Its around 210 kilometers from bangalore, take the mysore road --> Maddur --> take right soon after srirangapatana, the root the goes to coorg --> Hunsur road --> Nagarhole.
Wild Wild Wild that's the best way to describe this place, you just cant miss going out there and staying couple of days and take 2-3 safari trips to the forest. First don't compare this to banergeta national park in Bangalore where you find animal in cages or fenced boundaries, there is no fencing its just wild forest every where.
Safari is in 2 batches, 6-9 AM and 3-6 PM, that's the time when animal come out to drink water and they take you near the bank of the river kabini, safari in the forest is for about 2 hours, not sure on that because i stayed in jungle lodges resort and they used to take us for couple of hours.
They take you into the forest (Jeep Safari), you can very well see deers everywhere in fact they are to many, when enquired bout the same, we where told it was to keep the grass level low, so we get a clear view of animals. Wild elephants there are quite a lot, well you are in wild and there will be some risk, the authorities make sure to maintain some distance from elephants there have been incidents in past of they attacking sometimes.
So here comes the best part spotting tiger in wild, can you imagine that just amazing, again its not like banergeta you are in middle of forest, its not easy to find them and if you can get a view of them in...
