1. Explain why you do you consider that the organization has Information Intensive Operations?

McKesson is a pharmaceutical wholesaler. McKesson implemented their Economost system by placing their terminals in drug stores and tied them to their central computer. This system was originally designed to expedite order processing and control inventory which gave a new life to the wholesale drug distribution industry which resulted in elimination of dozens of its competitors. McKesson is now effectively managing retail drugstores for its clients by selling back information collected daily.

Following are the reasons for considering it to be information Intensive
