Gordon Biersch: Its Approaches to Electronic and Mobile Commerce and Information and Decision Support Systems

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, owned by CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries Inc, is a combined restaurant and brewery located in the heart of Mission Valley. The first Gordon Biersch was opened in 1988 by co-owners Dan Gorgon and Dean Biersch in the city of Palo Alto with the intent of building a monument to beer that also served great food. To remain competitive, the restaurant has implemented leans systems to ensure high quality product while cutting waste and inventory to a minimum.

Once a sale has been finalized, Gordon Biersch will also need to implement an After-Sales Service to ensure that the customer is satisfied or needs further assistance.

Gordon Biersch has implemented a number of interconnected systems for data collection for collaboration and reporting.
