Central and Eastern Europe In the 2008/09 fiscal year, Egis sales to the Central and Eastern Europe region, using its own US dollar exchange rate figures, were worth around US$122.3 million, making this the firm's second largest international market. However, as with Russia and the CIS, sales in the latest fiscal year fell, this time by 7%, from the US$132.1 million reported a year earlier. However, in constant currency terms, sales increased by 9%, and Egis noted that the increase was the result of new products and further development of its commercial network.
