Final Report

For your final project, you are being asked to analyze some aspect of business, industry, education or government, and pose recommendations from a serious study of the problem and a review of the issue.

Potential ideas include:

• Business Plan: This should include an executive summary, business section, market analysis, financing section and management section. Feel free to include other components.

• Proposal for Corporate or Organizational Change: Assume the role of an independent consultant and create a proposal that outlines your action plan for an organization undergoing a major change initiative. Mergers and acquisitions make great examples.

• Analyze a Specific Business Situation: This can be a detailed market analysis, financial analysis, etc. Again, assume the role of an independent consultant who is being hired to create this report.

• Marketing or Advertising Plan: This should include sections for market research, target market, product, competition, mission statement, market strategies, pricing, budget, marketing goals, etc.

• Other Suggestions: I’m open to other suggestions.

Requirements:

• 2,500-word minimum

• Follow the standards set forth in the book:

o Good writing style

o Pages that look inviting

o Good use of examples and comparisons

o Making your main points easy to find

o Illustrating your ideas

o Common sense rules

o Documenting your sources
