Abstract:

Sense organ is an organ that an animal uses to gain information about its surroundings. Sense organs are divided into two parts: Stimulus and Receptors.Eye, Ear, Skin, Tongue, Nose is the stimulus and receptor is a collection of nerve cells, brain, and spinal cord. These organs work in a coordinated way to make body understand what is happening outside. Researchers found out treatment of many sense and nervous system disorders and still working for the cure for many. Besides cure, informing pepole about these disorders and increasing awareness are also getting importance in recent times.

Result:

Different types of sense and nervous system disorders like leprosy, meningitis were present in earth since past. But researches were not done elaborately at that time on this matter. In the nineteenth and twentieth century, scientists concentrated on how nervous system and sense system works and disorders. Many organizations have formed globally to analyze and study different types of sense and nervous systems problems, give statistics in this matter. According to The World Health Report 1995 published by World Health Organization, Glaucoma related blindness made 5100000 people disabled, hearing loss made 4200000 people disabled, epilepsy made 1490000 people disabled,210000 people died in bacterial meningitis. All these numbers are huge and Bangladesh was not out of these numbers. A recent study shows that there are approximately 58600 people 40 years and older with definite or probable glaucoma in Bangladesh, 1.3 million people is suffering from epilepsy. But as researchers are facing more success rate in nervous system and sense disorders in recent times through drugs, these numbers are going to decrease. On 15th January 2009, Bangladesh introduced Hib vaccine to prevent severe forms of child pneumonia and meningitis. Bangladesh has made appreciable progress in the control of leprosy...
