DONUTSRUS! REPORT

INTRODUCTION

The client would like to start a DonutsRus! outlet in the UK. The client is interested in the concept or organisational structure and culture and how it has changed over the years, the differences between management and leadership, motivation in relation to workers welfare and finally the characteristics of a work team.

HOW TO MODIFY THIS REPORT

We at MA Management Consultants feel that if the structure of an organisation and its underlying design principles, are not in tune with the core purposes of the organisation and its various environments then it is unlikely to successfully survive.

There are many different organisation structure systems that have been used throughout history. Some are used even now. Mullins (1993) describe the structure of an organisation as the pattern of relationships between roles in an organisation and its different parts. It is structure that enables managers to plan and control the activities of an organisation.

We must take a look at the importance of work structure and culture and what methods have been used in the past and which, in today’s world will be the most effective and productive for DonutsRus!

STRUCTURE AND CULTURE

While organisational structure remains in the eyes of many as an old concept, it has changed many a times to catch up with today's organisation models. With the ever-changing work place, management needed to keep their operations up-to-date so that the organisation could get the best from its structure.

Organisational structure is the process of building a team of professional and enthusiastic individuals to achieve set goals and targets. Different organisations have different needs and therefore have to have an appropriate structure.
