Scientific Method

I am doing scenario one: I arrive home late at night and the light switch doesn’t turn on the lights. Now what?

I live in an apartment upstairs so my first thing would be to check with the downstairs tenant and see if they have power. I would then see if power is out on the rest of the street. If all those answers don’t give the answers that I want I would then unlock the apartment door and head toward the fuse box. I have a flashlight app installed on my cell phone because I sometimes find myself heading to my car in dark parking lots and I use it as a security to get to my car. Once I find the fuse box I would them flip the main fuse control because that is the one that always gets tripped to turn off the power. Unless there is a bill issue that should fix this issue. The power goes out at my apartment at least once a week because I live on the same street as the town hospital and once a week there is always some sort of power surge that causes the outage on the whole street. The electric company and or the hospital has had to replace electric items in my home twice so far. I think I own stock in serge protectors for my home. I think that the hospital needs to review the science behind the use of electric and that one floor should not be on the same breaker if doesn’t work right that way. They do surgeries on Thursday so this power outage was probably on a Thursday.

Why can’t we live without Science

My typical day- I wake up at 7am and take my teenage son to school. I am using the inventions of science here with a car and a coffee pot. The thought of brewing coffee like they did on the range is just ludicrous. Then I come home and get ready for work. Here I use the sciences of indoor plumbing, and my laptop computer which is the best invention in my life.
