1. Select one (1) of the seven (7) tools of quality from Chapter 8 and create a scenario related to this project where it would be useful.
As the project manager you want to be fully prepared for Mr. Ito’s questions on the cost and duration of the project at the next monthly meeting. You decide to fully prepare yourself by developing a complete quantitative risk analysis of the program. You know that Mr. Ito likes comprehensive technical analysis and you are very good at using excel. Also you have had one monthly meeting with Mr. Ito and you know that Mr. Ito will ask more difficult questions and you want to be fully prepared to provide comprehensive technical data to back up any questions he asks you and the answers that you provide him.
At the beginning of programs it is very important to provide to all stakeholders quantitative information so they can make initial decisions on the program. This information can also be used as the program progresses to provide a baseline for the analysis of how the program is progressing. Additionally, you want to be capable of providing even more precise information as the program progresses to ensure that you are on schedule and budget.
