Operating system Environment
The company I chose is a fictitious company called Tom’s Coffee Inc. This company employs 45 people that assist customers that buy Tom’s Coffee products. It was founded by Thomas Mann in 2012 offering the best coffee bean ever grown. The company is looking to buy a smaller company called Lonna’s Coffee Inc. based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The company wants aUnix system for Email, printing, programming, statistics, and chat are some of the areas for which the company is in need. Unix was selected as one of the server operating systems because of its high level of integration with the network and its multi-user environment. Each user who logs in can have an environment distinct from that of any other user.

Tom’s Coffee Inc. will have to grow in the next five weeks. They want to set up the servers with accounts, Api, catalogs and customer service to name a few new areas. Without this growth the company will not be able to take on new customers at the rate it is estimated. At least one more server will be needed and will be determined as the project grows.
